Background Task
What is a Background Task?
A Background Task is launched each time you launch an action that needs a long connection with XR Center.
How do I access to my Background Task page?
Each workspace has its own Background Task page that allows you to see all the Background Task related to your workspace.
- Step 1: go in your workspace
- Step 2: access to the Background Task page thanks to the button on the bottom of your navigation bar
Background Task Type
There are 8 background task types:
- Export Experience Images
- Export Experience Resources
- Upload Experience Resources
- Export Workspace
- Generate Experience VR Visualisation
- Generate Parts VR Visualisation
- Generate Interface
- Import CAD
If you quit Deck while a background task is running, that might corrupt your action and you might lose some data, especially for the CAD import.
How can I see my Background Tasks logs?
If your Background Task has failed, you can access to your background task log to understand why it failed.
- Step 1: connect to your XR Center Client App
- Step 2: go to the Diapnostic page
- Step 3: find your background task in the list
- Step 4: download logs
