Background Task

What is a Background Task?​

A Background Task is launched each time you launch an action that needs a long connection with XR Center.

How do I access to my Background Task page?​

Each workspace has its own Background Task page that allows you to see all the Background Task related to your workspace.

  • Step 1: go in your workspace
  • Step 2: access to the Background Task page thanks to the button on the bottom of your navigation bar

Background Task Type​

There are 8 background task types:

  • Export Experience Images
  • Export Experience Resources
  • Upload Experience Resources
  • Export Workspace
  • Generate Experience VR Visualisation
  • Generate Parts VR Visualisation
  • Generate Interface
  • Import CAD

If you quit Deck while a background task is running, that might corrupt your action and you might lose some data, especially for the CAD import.

How can I see my Background Tasks logs?​

If your Background Task has failed, you can access to your background task log to understand why it failed.
