Back to CAD (CATIA V5)

Back to CAD purpose is to import your designs and update your parts position in your CAD product. It is available with:

  • CATIA V5
  • 3D Experience
  • Solidworks
  • Inventor
  • Revit (partially)

The following actions are available:

  • update parts transform
  • update parts color
  • create issues annotations
  • create new designs: pipes, cables, cubes, spheres
  • create cameras
  • import tools (if the link to the part is valid)

Export scene from SkyReal​

Import in CATIA​

  1. Open the original CATProduct file in Catia V5.

  2. Go to Tools/Macro/Macros and open the macro window.

  3. Click on Macro libaries and add the VBA project from BackToCAD\[YourSoftware]\.

  4. Select the BackToCAD macro and click on Run.

  5. Pick the json saved by SkyReal. All the modifications will be analysed.

  6. The main interface is loaded, you can choose on the left the action you want to apply. All the related modifications will be displayed.
